also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Ark of the Covenant or the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus, is one of the best-preserved Crusader structures in Israel. The church was built in the 12th century by the Crusaders in Abu Ghosh, a village they identified with the biblical site of Kiryat Ye’arim, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept.
The church is renowned for its impressive architectural design, with thick stone walls and partially preserved ancient frescoes. Today, it serves as a pilgrimage site and a Benedictine monastery, offering a peaceful atmosphere and a unique historical view for visitors.
